When I bought my house, my initial plan was to remove all of the wood-like paneling and install drywall, but things haven't worked out as I would have liked. We had to spend the money that I had planned to use to rip out the paneling and replace it with drywall on bigger, more important repairs. Instead of ripping out the paneling, I have found some beautiful wallpaper that disguises the grooves in the paneling and has really improved the look of the rooms.
